Sofra has served authentic Turkish food at Marina Square since 1999, and it was Singapore's first Turkish restaurant. It is Turkish-owned with a Turkish kitchen crew, cooking over a charcoal grill, in claypots and in a stone oven. The menu covers charcoal-grilled kebaps, kofte, musakka, pide, baklava, mantı, Adana kebab and künefe, and the restaurant is halal-certified by MUIS. Up on Level 3, the dining room looks out over Marina Bay, and there is a prayer room on site. It is a comfortable pick for a family gathering, a business lunch, or a slow dinner with friends — come for the kebaps and pide, and leave room for the künefe.
